Yamaha Testing MotoGP V4
CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SQUID š¦ šļø š
bye bye crossplane i4, zeitz jumps ship, cops hustling stolen busaās, and kawasakiās dumbest side quest yet |
After much rumor and speculation, Yamaha is finally preparing to test their new V4 MotoGP engine. Team Blue has been holding out strong as the last inline 4 on the grid, but I guess they canāt avoid reality any longer. V4s are just goated and unstoppable. Their engine prototype has been in development since mid 2024, having recruited F1 engine consultant Luca Marmorini for assistance on the project. The V4 engine is meant to offer many advantages like a compact layout, and smooth and linear power delivery. I think GP fans and Yamaha simps alike are excited to watch this project move forward and hopefully allow Yamaha to be truly competitive again.
If youāre anything like me, your social feeds are filled with extremely aggressive Harley Davidson evangelists who have been joyously celebrating Jochen Zeitz retirement from the Motor Company. Zeitz joined the HD board in 2007, and became the CEO in 2020. His strategy was to streamline operations, and focus on high-margin products cough cvo special paint 131 ultra limited classic heritage astro glide cough. But during Zeitz tenure the company's stock has fallen 45%, production for certain models have been moved over seas, and there have been some issues over the brands⦠uhh⦠company cultureā¦? I guess that is the nice way of saying it. He tried to make Harley Davidson gay. Thatās the less nice way of saying it. Iāve got no skin in the HD game, so I have no opinion on the matter. Iāll probably remain unenthused regardless of who is steering the ship.
š donāt š commit crimes š on š camera. I mean, donāt commit crimes in general. But especially not on camera. And yes, reckless operation is a crime. 22-year-old Brice Bennett was charged after police were tipped off about a video that showed him weaving through traffic at 192 miles an hour on his Honda Fireblade. The police reviewed 72 other videos and found 16 instances of reckless driving, reckless endangerment, and improper lane use. Who would have thought that saying āfilmed in Mexicoā means absolutely nothing when the police can clearly see the road signs posted are in their jurisdiction? When are these kids gonna learn?
Bennett better hope that the police donāt confiscate his āBlade and sell it for personal gain. Because that was the MO of former Wayne City, Illinois police chief Anson Fenton. Fenton illegally sold three forfeited motorcycles to pad his own personal pocketbook. Two of the motorcycles were Harley Davidson, so who cares. But the third, was a 2022 Hayabusa. The saddest part? He didnāt even sell the Busa for cash. He traded it for a 1991 Mustang. Umm, okay boomer? Talk about getting a shit deal. Fenton has pleaded guilty to two federal charges and faces up to 10 years in prison and fines up to a quarter mil per count. Hayabusa abuse should warrant a life sentence imo.
Kawasakiās side quests are getting completely out of hand. We know you have access to aerospace technology through Kawi Heavy Industries, but cut it out already! Hydrogen powered H2? Sure, whatever. But a Hydrogen powered robot horse? Are you kidding me? The Ninja 650 still uses an engine from 2005! What are you doing building a damn robot horse?! People always say āWhy does Yammie hate Kawasaki?ā. Come on, theyāre not really giving me any other choice. THIS IS CRINGE.
