KTM'S Bankruptcy Explained (100% ACCURACY)

Triumph breaks records, Yamaha explores hybrid tech, and Honda brings new bikes to the US (V3?)

  1. Triumph Motorcycles achieved record breaking sales in 2024, selling 134,635 units. This was a whopping a 64% increase from the previous year and marking the first time the company surpassed 100,000 sales in its 122 year history! Woo! I guess this is the last piece of evidence we need to prove that selling value-driven beginner bikes is good for business. Not only did Triumph crush it with the Speed and Scrambler 400 models, they also produce dirt bikes, adventure bikes, famed modern classics, zippy middleweight triples, and venerable naked bikes. Triumph, I’ve simped for you for nearly a decade, and you haven’t let me down. Thank you. šŸ™

  1. Kawasaki has been producing Hybrid motorcycles for about a year or so, and the general industry consensus has been ā€œmehā€. Despite the lukewarm response, Yamaha is now trying their hand at hybrid technology. The proposed motorcycle will use an internal combustion engine with crank-mounted generator and an electric motor attached to the rear axle. The hybrid system will utilize various ride modes: In Full EV Mode the motorcycle operates solely on the rear axle-mounted electric motor, offering a zero-emission ride. In Series Hybrid/Engine Driving Mode, the ICE activates, driving the rear wheel via a belt and simultaneously recharging the battery through the crank-mounted generator. There are also two boost modes: In Dual Boost mode, both the ICE and the rear axle electric motor work in tandem for enhanced acceleration. In Triple Boost mode, in addition to the Dual Boost configuration, the crank-mounted motor generator supplies extra torque directly to the crankshaft, further increasing power and responsiveness. This is all clearly in the R&D stage, so we’ll see if this hybrid tech will end up coming to market anytime soon. I’d like to think these outlandish hybrid motorcycles exist solely as Red Herrings to divert Chinese motorcycle copycats. Yamaha’s like ā€œlet’s leak a fake hybrid bike so CFMoto wastes their time ripping that off instead of something coolā€.

  2. According to the pros at MCN, Honda has had new models approved by the California Air Resources Board that have also been confirmed by a leaked VIN Decoder. The models in question are the NT1100DCT, as well as the highly anticipated CB750 and CB1000SP Hornet models. The NT1100 is the sport touring motorcycle based around the Africa Twin platform. This bike has been popular in Europe but has, until recently, eluded the US market. The CB750 is Honda’s parallel twin middleweight roadster that shares an engine with the new gen Transalp adventure bike. And the CB1000SP is the newly announced 150 horsepower inline 4 naked bike that has super affordable pricing in Europe. These bikes will be a great addition to Honda’s lineup here, so MCN better not be wrong about this.

  3. Speaking of new stuff from Honda, they released this boosted V3 teaser video. woooooooooooooooosh spooling compressor sounds at 38 seconds.

  1. Harley’s existing CVO models weren’t expensive enough. So they’re selling a King of the Baggers race replica for $110,000. The CVO RR uses a 131 Cubic Inch engine that is good for 153 horsepower at 5,750 RPM and 150 ft/lbs at 4,750 RPM. Say what you will about Harley Davidson, but seeing such big power figures at very low RPMs kind of boggles the mind. The CVO RR has a bunch of high end bits and bobs used by the KOTB race team for maximized power, weight reduction, and ground clearance. Will any of the rich daddies who are lined up to buy one of these bad boys ever take them on track and test their racing chops? Probably not. But their kids don’t need to go to college anyway so who cares if they nuke a college fund to buy a 6 figure collector’s item.

  2. Oh yeah, I guess KTM cashed in a get out of jail free card. We’ll see how long it lasts.

According to the official press release from the Chase on Two Wheels Youtube Channel, Chase is no longer being paid to say that Ruroc helmets are the best on the market.

As long as those checks were cashing, C2W had no problem being the official social media mouth piece for the helmet company known more for their Marvel collabs than their build quality.

It wasn’t until a crash testing scenario gone awry that Chase decided enough was enough.

ā€œWhile out filming an ā€˜unpaid’ review of the new Atlas 4.0, C2W was put in a situation where he felt his physical safety was at risk. After repeatedly ignoring the agreed upon safe word ā€˜ARAI’, Ruroc continued to push Chase beyond the point of comfort without his consentā€ explained a source close to channel.

Luckily, Revzilla has stepped in and provided Chase with an ample supply of free helmets so he can continue to encourage his audience to buy and consume during his healing process.

At this time, C2W has not provided any comment on the situation. But if I had to guess, it would be something along the lines of ā€œthat’s not true, I didn’t say that, that’s not funnyā€.
